I recently had the pleasure of taking the last slot on a brewery tour at the Rye River Brewery in Celbridge, Co Kildare.

I cannot recommend this tour enough. Keenly priced, promptly started and really interesting this is a must do tour for anyone interested in craft beer.  The tour was packed full of information about how the brewery has developed over the last 10 years or so and we were shown the grain stores, the state of the art brewing equipment (mid brew of course!), the original brew house, the packing lines, the stores and the service equipment. We got to meet brewers who discussed the practical element to their craft and then got to taste some of the most exquisite beers I’ve tried for a long time. It is hardly surprising that this brewery is going to grow and grow so if you are interested in real craft beer and you want an experience to remember, book a slot on one of their monthly tours. You will not regret it!!!
