Rye River Brewing Company, one of Ireland’s leading and most influential independent craft breweries, is seeking a Warehouse Operator to join our team. With our commitment to growth, we are expanding our warehouse with a new facility currently in construction. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the success of a dynamic brewery and help drive improved warehouse efficiencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment and verify their accuracy
  • Prepare and assemble orders for production, ensuring timely delivery of materials to the brewing and packaging teams
  • Accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to pick sheet
  • Ensure the correct quantities and products are selected for each order
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for order picking
  • Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all required documentation is included
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers for timely and accurate delivery
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
  • Rotate stock to ensure the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle is followed
  • Report discrepancies or issues with inventory levels promptly and assist in cycle counts
  • Keep the warehouse clean and organised
  • Collaborate with production and quality control teams to maintain an organised and efficient workflow
  • Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
  • Inspect products for damage or defects before packing and dispatching
  • Follow quality control procedures to maintain the highest product quality
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
  • Comply with brewery policies and procedures

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • 3+ years warehouse experience essential.
  • Must have a valid reach and counterbalance license (Applicant without this will not be considered).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Engineering qualifications and previous experience are desired. Training will be provided.

This candidate needs to be self-motivated, fast-paced, and willing to work in a cycle-shift environment that adapts to changes, challenges and opportunities as they manifest daily as part of the exciting Craft beer culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Run and monitor packaging on our bottle, keg and can filling lines.
  • Conduct quality checks on packaging materials, labels, and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Keep packaging areas clean and sanitized to meet company standards and maintain product integrity.
  • Follow proper cleaning procedures for equipment and work areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of production and packaging activities, including batch numbers, quantities, waste and any issues encountered during the packaging process.
  • Coordinate with other depts to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Receive incoming shipments of raw materials, packaging materials, and equipment and verify their accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Troubleshoot and address any mechanical or technical issues with packaging equipment.
  • Work towards meeting daily, weekly, and monthly production targets set by the brewery.
  • Adjust packaging processes as necessary to accommodate changes in production requirements.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • 1+ years experience operating a packaging line, preferably in a brewing environment.
  • Basic understanding of the mechanical components of packaging equipment.
  • Strong work ethic with a willingness to assist others and work towards common production goals.
  • Competence in using computer systems for data entry and production tracking.
  • Forklift licence desirable.

Add a burst of colour and flavour to those darker evenings with our beautifully crafted Coastal IPA & Beetroot Risotto!

Ingredient List:

  • High-Quality Carnaroli Rice – 320g
  • 2 Boiled Beetroots
  • Butter – 80g
  • Parmigiano Reggiano – Grated – 140g
  • Juice of half a grapefruit
  • Grated zest from half a grapefruit
  • Burrata cheese – 120g
  • Pistachio grain
  • 1 Rye River Brewing Co. Coastal IPA

STEP 1

Keep a pan with boiling salted water behind the pan where you prepare the carnaroli rice. Heat the pan and put the rice to seal without any fat, making sure not to brown any of the rice.

Add ¾ of Rye River Brewing Co. Coastal IPA. Let the beer evaporate then add boiling salted water bit by bit until 90% of the rice is cooking.

STEP 2

Next, prepare a smoothie consisting of 2 boiled beetroots and grapefruit juice. When there are at least 2 minutes left until your rice is finished cooking, add 90% of the smoothie to the rice and stir for 2 minutes, then remove the pan from the stove.

STEP 3

Now add the butter while still stirring, and then the Parmigiano Reggiano, while continuing to stir. After this stir in ¾ of the burrata

STEP 4

Plating and garnish with drops of smoothie, small pieces of burrata, grated grapefruit zest and pistachio grain, along with a can of Coastal IPA as your drink of choice.

Ho Ho Ho, here we go! Make Christmas a little merrier this year with our Nocturne Export Stout Christmas pudding. Although the number of ingredients might seem daunting, if you follow our easy steps below, the recipe will come together nicely.

Ingredient List:

  • 1 large Bramley apple, peeled and finely chopped
  • 140g sultana
  • 140g currant
  • 40g raisin
  • 140g date, chopped
  • 50g mixed peel
  • 250ml Rye River Brewing Company Nocturne Export Stout
  • Zest 1 orange
  • Zest 1 lemon
  • 100g cold butter, plus extra to grease basin
  • 100g dark muscovado sugar, plus 2 tbsp
  • 120g fresh white breadcrumb
  • 60g self-raising flour
  • ½ tsp ground cloves
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 2 eggs, beaten

STEP 1

Mix the dried fruit and apple before adding the Rye River Brewing Company Nocturne Export Stout. Add the orange and lemon zests and stir. Cover the mixture and leave overnight to soak.

STEP 2

Butter a 1.25-litre pudding basin. Next spoon in 2 tbsp dark muscovado sugar. Turn the basin at an angle, to coat the inside of the basin.

STEP 3

Mix together the remaining dry ingredients in a large bowl. Grate in the butter, then add in beaten eggs and fruit. Stir well. Spoon into the pudding basin and level the top.

STEP 4

Take a 30cm long piece of foil, cover it with a sheet of greaseproof paper of the same size and butter the paper. Fold a 3cm pleat in the middle, and cover the pudding. Tie with string under the lip of the basin, making a handle. Trim paper and foil to about 5cm and tuck it under itself.

STEP 5

Sit the pudding on a heatproof saucer in a saucepan. Pour in boiling water so it comes halfway up the basin. Cover and steam for 6 hrs, topping up water as required to ensure it stays halfway up the basin.

Re-cover with clean paper and foil and store in a cool place.

To reheat, microwave on medium, without foil, for 8 mins. Serve with brandy cream.
